CHALLENGE
Live Nation needed to spark anticipation and drive early ticket sales for Pearl Jam’s first Australian tour in over a decade. The challenge was to create a distinctive fan engagement moment that could cut through, reignite nostalgia, and connect audiences to both the band’s legacy and its new release, “Dark Matter.”
STRATEGY
INVNT, in collaboration with Live Nation, transformed a pedestrian crossing at Bondi Beach into an unexpected tribute to Pearl Jam’s musical legacy. The crossing mechanism was modified to play the band’s iconic 1991 hit “Alive” as fans crossed the street, creating a simple but powerful moment of surprise and connection. QR codes placed at the end of the crossing drove fans to a Live Nation microsite, where they could access early-release tickets and hear “Dark Matter” first.
